Little convertibles

My dad really liked his cars. I remember a 69 Pontiac Bonneville That was our family car. You can sleep in the back seat it was so big. When we lived down on lake Decatur at Fisher’s Landing on the way home down Ray’s bridge road At the 1st hill He would put the car in neutral and it would coast Up 2 more hills and another into our driveway Above the lake.  It always made him laugh At how well that car rolled down the road.

My dad’s last car Was A Z4 convertible BMW. He had had a Miata But decided he really wanted that BMW, Even though I told him it would be a car you could not work on. He bought it anyway. Not too long after he had gotten it I got a phone call. My dad said can you tell me where the oil dipstick is on this car I cannot seem to find it. He also said I can’t find the transmission dipstick either and the oil cap won’t come off. After laughing off the side of the phone for a bit I had to inform him that his car did not have any of those things. As I had stated before you’re not gonna be able to work on that car it’s European. I still don’t know if  He really believed me or not But that was the truth. European automobiles have tampered proof for quite some time And you need a whole  Special set of tools and a working knowledge of German to probably work on them.
